Can a metal detector detect another metal detector?

I read that a metal detector is an illegal posession in Turkey. I am going to Turkey and wondered if I smuggled one in for fun would it set off the metal detector at the airport?

Does it have metal in it? UMMM.. YES!
It CAN detect metal detector.
