Will metal detectors detect through snow?
I lost my keys in the snow at a buddies house, and I was wondering if a metal detector would work. Or, should I try something else to find them?
The snow is between 12 and 18 inches deep.

Yes they will work. Set the discrimination as low as it goes, and the sensitivity as high as it will go. If the snow is deep this will make it easier to detect.
