Can those metal detectors detect bombs strapped onto a person?
They beep at anything metal, but can they detect some plastique or semtex explosive strapped on a body vest or rexin and velcro. I was wondering, because they scan people at malls and all.
The bomb itself is not metal. Nothing in it is. But, the detonator more than usually is. The easiest form of a detonator is actually wiring a Cell phone to the explosive. Someone else is instructed at X time to call the number. By that time, buddy is already inside. Phone doesn’t ring though, the bomb goes of.
Either that or the simple push button detonator that does require a power source but is easily hidden.
Manly, the bomb itself cannot be detected, detonators can be hidden in almost anything that mall cops are not trained to recognize and they can be put together in a mall bathroom in a matter of seconds. Sorry for the news, but if you wish to be afraid, now is a good time.
By the way, I’m not a terrorist, I’ve been to Afghanistan and Iraq and I’ve seen first hand and know how easy it is for them to smuggle in bombs anywhere right under our noses. What we need, is dogs, not scanners. To this day, I owe my life to a dog who sniffed out a bomb before it snuffed out us.
