  1. the max would be 2-3 meters while sandy beaches make the endeavor a bit easier since good metal detectors are electronic geo-physics equipments that essentially need wetness in the ground to send waves and receive signals better, this fact can maximize the depth the detectors can go to. If the treasure you are looking for is not of a sizable quantity, you can use equipments from a company called Fisher Metal Detectors,
