One Response to “METAL DETECTING? Any luck? should i buy one?!?”
my dad did this for years when i was young. he had 3 or 4 of them. he found SO MUCH STUFF. he would keep everything in mason jars. over the years, when we needed some extra cash, he would sell some stuff to pawn shops. He found lots of jewelry, and some of it was really nice. I got a really nice ring out of it
To this day, he still sells stuff that he found years ago. He sells lots of tokens on ebay, and makes anywhere from $10 to $300! of course, its usually $10, but still… he has made lots of money on the garbage he found.
Like another poster said, I imagine it can be very boring. The key to it, is knowing where to look. Lots of people think beaches, and while you can find good stuff there, my dad found way more by searching fields, recreational parks, and old run-down businesses.
