good spots for metal detecting in NJ?
I want to find some good treasures becuse i bought a metal detector and i live in new jersey. I was wondering if anyone had any good tips or spots.

The beach. How many people lay down in the sand never paying attention to their pockets or what could fall out of their bag. The season just ended too, so you’ll probably be better off now than you would much later in the season.
I’d also say construction sites, but aside from being dangerous, it’s still trespassing.
The Pine Barrens would be cool, but I don’t know what you’d find out there. Bottle caps? Maybe if you go far enough east into the Pineys, you’ll find some old artillery though. Don’t go too far, or you’ll find the new artillery too!!! (they still practice a little bit out there…bombings and straifings…not as much as they used to though).
