like metal detector device available for other substance to be detected?

metal detector has a limitation and plastic subtance are not exposed by them, for over all detection,one devise , at check posts, to be installed for better security

It was cheap, and I know that the more you pay for one the better they are. Are they likely to find anything with it, and if so what is the range and type of things it is likely to detect? I don’t want them getting disheartened. Thanks for any replies.

I was metal detecting in my front yard and found what looks like a old shot gun shell on it , it say

NO 12
NEW CLUB

could it be a shotgun shell?
any information is appreciated

My dad found this small asian bowl while metal detecting today. It’s brass, and was found in old soil about a foot underground. We aren’t sure how old it is, only that it possibly was used to burn Opium or incense.

How do you get cell phones through scanners?

You know the scanners you walk through that beep if it detects metal or something like that.
We have them at school and I need my cell phone during the day, not to text friends but for important stuff.

I would request to be known what is non-destructive test material, it is also called DP test. Is Dye penetrant testing the non destructive test material and why is it called non destructive test material? Are there any alternatives to the dye penetrant testing? i wan’t to know how to get my iPhone past the metal detector, people say that if i put my phone in my boxer brief pockets on my boxers, that it won’t go off. but, if i wear like shorts. then put the phone in my boxer pockets and wear like gym shorts then pants will it still go off HELP ME before tommrow at school, cause at the school they metal detect you and i really need my phone.

I would be most interested in finding old coins, jewerly and historical relics. i guess im mainly looking for anything other than pop tabs haha so an item specific detector wouldnt be necessarily one that detects most everything would be good. I wouldnt mind if it was around 0 but thats pretty much all im willing to spend. Any links would be helpful as well.
